Interfaith Shelter Receives Second $5,000 Gift from PPL Electric Utilities
As our region continues to deal with frigid temperatures this winter, the Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families will receive a $5,000 gift from PPL Electric Utilities to help those less fortunate deal with their energy bills.
The emergency homeless shelter was one of 10 community organizations each receiving $5,000 as part of a larger $250,000 in winter help for the needy from PPL. This donation is the second gift that the shelter has received from PPL Electric Utilities in recent months.
“Homeless families face limited options so this gift during the cold winter months will certainly allow us to continue to provide help and continue to create hope for those less fortunate in our area.” commented Mark Totaro, Executive Director for Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Harrisburg.
Catholic Charities appreciates the generosity of PPL and their support of the Interfaith Shelter. If you would like to make a contribution to this program, please visit http://www.cchbg.net/get-help/emergency-shelter-homeless-families/
