Come and See Appeal 2021
Dear Friends,
Normally at this time of year, we at Catholic Charities are making plans to invite you and other supporters to join us at the Diocesan Center for our annual Come and See Dinner.
But as you well know, these are not normal times. In fact, these times are unlike any I have ever experienced. The coronavirus pandemic has made things very difficult for us. It has affected our operations, our outreach efforts, and our fundraising activities.
Because of the continuing challenges with the pandemic, we have decided to not have an in-person Come and See Dinner. While we are disappointed with this, we feel it is the right decision. Hopefully we will not be in this position next year.
But even though we are not having our event this year, the importance of the Come and See Dinner remains. This project is the largest fundraising effort of the year for Catholic Charities. The appeal raises much-needed funds for our three Homes for Healing – Evergreen House (for women in recovery), Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families, and Lourdeshouse Maternity Home.
Because of this importance, we are hopeful that you will show your commitment of our efforts by making a gift to our Come and See Appeal this year.
During these challenging times, we need your support more than ever. Our fundraising efforts are behind where they normally are, and this year’s Come and See event is critically important to our work at Evergreen House, Interfaith Shelter, and Lourdeshouse. We hope we can count on you!
