Lancaster Day Treatment
Catholic Charities offers an intensive day treatment program for at-risk youth in Lancaster County as an alternative to residential treatment. The program works in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, Lancaster County MH/MR and Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13.
The program provides individual counseling, group therapy, life skills and family counseling to youth ages 9-15, five days a week.
All youth must meet certain criteria of the Office of Mental Health and the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Educational services are provided by Intermediate Unit 13.
Referrals are made through Lancaster County school districts or mental health service providers. There is no cost for children or adolescents enrolled in the program. All children who enter the program are eligible for Pennsylvania Medical Assistance, which reimburses the program for treatment costs.
