Vehicle Donations
The Catholic Charities Vehicle Donation Program prepares donated vehicles for transfer to clients from our various programs who are in great need of reliable transportation. Vehicles are transferred to clients at no cost to them.
After a vehicle is donated, we take it to a local mechanic for evaluation and service. If service is too costly, the vehicle is sent to a private auction. Any revenue received from the sale is used to support the Vehicle Donation Program.
To donate a car, truck or van, you need a clean, valid title and working keys. Catholic Charities reserves the right to decline a vehicle for any reason (not drivable, extensive body damage, etc.).
Vehicle donations are tax deductible. The value of the donation is determined by federal guidelines. All donors will receive documentation for tax purposes. For more information, see the IRS publication, A Donor’s Guide to Vehicle Donations.
